Why You Should Never Skip the Final Walk-Through

You are days away from closing on your new Hampton Roads home. The loan is approved, the boxes are packed, and the finish line is in sight. But there is one crucial step left: the final walk-through.

The final walk-through is not another home inspection. It is your opportunity to verify that the property is in the exact condition you agreed to buy it in. We typically schedule this 24 to 48 hours before closing.

During the walk-through, we check that all agreed-upon repairs have been completed and that the seller hasn't accidentally damaged the walls while moving out. We also ensure that fixtures and appliances included in the contract were left behind. If there is an issue, we address it before you sign the final paperwork, protecting your investment right up to the last minute.
